The three timers above come from one template. We gave it each brand's colors, font and corner size and changed nothing else. That is the case for BrandTimer in one picture. The rest of this page is the case for Sendtric too, because for some teams it is still the better pick.
What Sendtric does well
Sendtric has been around long enough that email platforms link to it from their help pages, and it shows. You fill in a date, pick colors and copy an image tag. On its own site it says over 200,000 businesses use it. We haven't checked that number, but the help pages and listicles that recommend it are easy to find.
The free plan is fair: no watermark until you pass 10,000 views a month. A small list sending one or two timer emails a month may never pay.
Its paid plans add timer types that matter in automation: start on open, a deadline per contact, count-up timers, and on Power, timers that start when the email is sent. Standard adds an image to show after the deadline. Power adds Apple Mail fallback options and full analytics history.
Sendtric also does more than timers. It sells polls, personalized images and weather widgets, and email platforms can build its timer into their own editor through an API or a white-label deal.
Where it stops: the look
Sendtric's generator is a form. You choose colors, a font, a background image and the labels, and the layout stays the one Sendtric drew. On its own page, custom brand fonts are an Enterprise feature. Free has one default font; paid plans pick from a list of 900+.
For a lot of senders that is fine. But a timer sits right next to the offer and the button, the most expensive spot in the email. If it looks like it came from a different company than the rest of the design, readers can tell.
BrandTimer works the other way round. Every timer is a small HTML and CSS template, and you can edit all of it: layout, spacing, shadows, how the digits move. There are 50 templates to start from, from thin announcement bars to full hero images. If you don't want to write CSS, paste your site's address. BrandTimer reads the colors and fonts from the site and applies them to the template. You can then describe changes in plain words ("make the digits bigger, drop the labels") and the AI rewrites the template.
When you save, the server draws the template once into images, and each time someone opens the email it puts together a GIF with the time left, the same way Sendtric's timers work. To your email platform it is an ordinary image tag.
Plan by plan: what each price buys
Sendtric shows its prices billed yearly; so do we below, with our monthly price in brackets. Sendtric's plans step up by timer type, ours by deadline type.
| Price step | Sendtric | BrandTimer |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 10,000 views, no watermark up to that. Standard countdown, one default font, no custom background. | 20,000 views, 2 active timers, one date per timer. A small BrandTimer logo on the timer. Full code, every template, the message after the deadline. |
| About $10 a month | Micro, $8.25. 150,000 views. Start-on-open and per-contact timers, 900+ fonts, custom background. | Pro, $10 ($12 monthly). 500,000 views. Per-contact and first-open deadlines, wording that changes in the last hours, no logo. |
| About $35 a month | Standard, $35. 1,000,000 views. Motion, vertical and count-up timers, an image and message after the deadline. | Business, $30 ($39 monthly). 2,000,000 views. Repeating deadlines, a link that changes after the deadline, an end-date card for Apple Mail, opens by email app. |
| About $60 to $80 a month | Power, $62.50. 5,000,000 views. Start-on-send and custom event timers, Apple Mail fallback options, full analytics history. | Agency, $80 ($99 monthly). 10,000,000 views. Everything in Business, a brand kit for every client. |

Two things are not in the table. Neither tool switches a running timer off when you go over your views. And on BrandTimer, the free plan has the full template code and the AI restyle, so you can find out whether a branded timer is worth it to you before paying anything.
What Sendtric has that we don't
Before you switch, check this list against what you use:
- Count-up timers ("12 days since launch").
- Timers that start counting when the email is sent, set by your platform at send time.
- Polls, personalized images and weather widgets. BrandTimer only makes timers.
- A public API and a white-label version for email platforms.
- Uploading your own font file. BrandTimer uses Google Fonts and the font your site loads.
- Years of use. BrandTimer is new in 2026, and Sendtric has a long record.
When to stay with Sendtric
- You send under 10,000 timer views a month and the default look is fine. Sendtric's free plan without a logo is hard to beat.
- You need count-up or start-on-send timers.
- You use its polls or other widgets alongside the timer.
- You are an email platform looking for a timer to build into your editor.
Switch if the timer has to match a designed email, if you manage several brands, or if you send more than 150,000 views a month and want to stay near $10.
Moving a timer from Sendtric
- Open the BrandTimer editor with your site's address, pick a template and set the same deadline and time zone you used in Sendtric.
- Save it and copy the code. It is an image tag, like Sendtric's.
- In your email platform, replace the Sendtric code in the HTML block, or the image URL in an image block, and send yourself a test.
- Leave your Sendtric timers alone until their deadlines pass. Emails already sent keep loading them from Sendtric.
For a per-contact timer, your platform fills in each person's date with a merge tag. BrandTimer's editor writes the tag for Klaviyo, Mailchimp, HubSpot and other platforms.
Questions people ask about Sendtric
How does Sendtric work?
You set a deadline and the design in its generator and paste the code it gives you into your email. The code is an image. Each time someone opens the email, Sendtric's server draws a GIF with the time left at that moment. BrandTimer works the same way.
Is Sendtric free?
Yes, up to 10,000 views a month. Above that, Sendtric adds a watermark to free timers. Start-on-open and per-contact timers need a paid plan, from $8.25 a month billed yearly.
Can I use my own font in Sendtric?
Paid plans pick from 900+ fonts. Uploading your own brand font is listed on the Enterprise plan only.
Does a Sendtric timer work in Outlook?
It shows, but Outlook for Windows plays only the first frame of a GIF. The time is right when the email opens and then the digits stand still. That is true of every GIF timer, BrandTimer's included.
The short version
Sendtric is a safe default with a generous free plan and more timer types than we have. BrandTimer is for the timer that has to look like the rest of your email: full code, 50 templates, and a restyle from your site, with 500,000 views for $10 a month. Try both on one email and keep the one your designer complains about less.
