When marketers ask an AI assistant which timer to use with Klaviyo, NiftyImages is one of the names it gives. Its timers are good, and they come inside a bigger product with a bigger bill. Before your next renewal, check which of its features your emails actually used.
What the $59 buys
NiftyImages sells images that change for each reader or each open. Timers are in the cheapest plan, next to the features its higher plans are built around:
Personalized images, countdown timers, weather, custom fonts, click tracking
Adds polls, scratch cards, social signals, slides, charts, calendars
Adds rule sets, A/B split tests, data stores, retina images
An Enterprise plan adds a developer API, geo-targeted maps and agency logins at a custom price. Paying yearly saves 20%. NiftyImages lets you try Starter through Scale with free images, with no time limit and no card. Its pricing page shows a slider up to 500,000 opens a month but no prices above 25,000.
If you only use the timer
Look through the emails you sent with NiftyImages this year. If every image was a timer, you're paying for a personalization suite to show a countdown. At 25,000 opens a month that is about $566 a year paid yearly, or $708 paid monthly.
The same timers cost much less in tools that only make timers. Sendtric is free up to 10,000 views a month without a watermark. BrandTimer Pro covers 500,000 views a month, with timers that start at first open and per-contact deadlines, for $120 a year. Move the slider at the top of the page to your own volume.
NiftyImages prices by opens and the timer tools by views. Both go up by one each time someone opens the email with images on, so you can compare them one to one as a rough guide.
Where NiftyImages is ahead
For more than a countdown, NiftyImages does a lot that a timer tool doesn't:
- Personalized images: a name on a product photo, a map of the nearest store, the weather where the reader is.
- Polls, scratch cards, live charts and calendars on Growth.
- Rules that pick an image per reader, and A/B tests, on Scale.
- A developer API and an MCP server on Enterprise.
- An add-on in Beefree's partner directory, so it appears inside email editors built on Beefree.
Its timer page is also candid about the limits. It warns, for example, that a timer started "on open" can start when an email app loads images in advance, before the person reads the email. That is true of every timer, BrandTimer's included, and for Apple Mail BrandTimer Business sends a card with the end date instead.
Timer Studio vs code
NiftyImages' Timer Studio is a visual designer. You move and layer the numbers, text and shapes, upload fonts and images, and add outlines, shadows, gradients, glow, progress rings and blink or rotate animations. A designer who thinks in layers will like it.
BrandTimer gets to the same place another way. Each timer is a small HTML and CSS template, and there are 50 to start from. If you'd rather not edit code, paste your site's address: BrandTimer reads its colors and fonts and applies them to the template, and you can describe further changes in a sentence. Brand kits keep a set of colors and fonts per brand, so an agency can switch a template between clients in one click.
When to stay with NiftyImages
- You send personalized images, polls or scratch cards, not only timers.
- You use rule sets or A/B tests on images.
- Your team builds in an email editor that uses NiftyImages' Beefree add-on.
- Your designer works in Timer Studio and you'd lose that work by moving.
If none of these apply, move your next campaign's timer to a timer tool and compare. Emails you've already sent load their timers from NiftyImages, so cancel only after the last of those deadlines has passed.
Questions about NiftyImages
How much does NiftyImages cost?
Starter is $59 a month, Growth $149 and Scale $239, each for 25,000 opens a month. Paying yearly saves 20%. Enterprise is priced on request.
Does NiftyImages have a free plan?
Not a free plan as such. You can try Starter through Scale with free images, without a time limit or a card, before you send to a real list.
Can NiftyImages show a different deadline for each subscriber?
Yes. You pass each person's date in a merge tag in the image address, if your email platform supports it. BrandTimer does the same on Pro and writes the merge tag for your platform.
The short version
NiftyImages is worth its price if you use its personalization. If you bought it for a countdown, a timer tool does the same job for a fraction: $120 a year on BrandTimer Pro against about $566 at the smallest NiftyImages plan, with 20 times the opens.
